Meet Jeff Braverman, our Program Host since 2010
Jeff co-founded Camp Nesher in 1995 and, as Camp Director, guided it towards becoming a premier Jewish camp until his departure in September 2025. During his 30 years of leadership, he oversaw the camp’s exponential growth while creating a culture of teamwork, innovation, and inclusion.
Beyond camp, Jeff is a highly acclaimed musician, recording four albums of original Jewish music and serving as a band leader with Nafshenu Orchestra. In 2023, Jeff co-founded The Simcha Package, a company whose stated mission is to offer Jewish communities more affordable total wedding package options.
Jeff is also a recognized lay leader in New Jersey’s Jewish community. He has served as a Board member at the Joseph Kushner Hebrew Academy in Livingston, as President of Congregation Ahavas Achim B’nai Jacob and David in West Orange, and currently sits on the Board of Yeshivat Noam in Paramus.
Above all, Jeff is most proud of his three children who carry forward the same passion for Jewish life and community that has shaped his career.
