Rabbi Kalman Topp
Rabbi Kalman Topp is the Senior Rabbi at Beth Jacob Congregation in Beverly Hills, serving in this position since 2009. During his tenure, he has strengthened Beth Jacob as a leading center of Modern Orthodoxy and Religious Zionism, where members connect, grow and create lifelong friendships. Serving a large, diverse membership, Rabbi Topp has promoted a warm and inclusive atmosphere where all can find their place in the community.
Prior to moving to the west coast, Rabbi Topp served as Associate Rabbi at the Young Israel of Woodmere, NY and Rabbi at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He was also on the Judaic Studies faculty at the Frisch School and Hebrew Academy of Five Towns and Rockaways.
After studying in Israel at Yeshivat Har Etzion, Rabbi Topp graduated from Sy Syms School of Business with a degree in accounting. He received his ordination from Yeshiva University-RIETS and earned a master’s degree in secondary education from the Azrieli Graduate School of Jewish Education.
Rabbi Topp is active in the communal sphere, currently serving as Vice President for the Rabbinical Council of America, is on the National Council of AIPAC, Executive Committee of the Southern California Board of Rabbis, and the Advisory Board for the Israel-Christian Nexus. Combining a steadfast love of the Jewish People with a passion for teaching Torah, Rabbi Topp endeavors to connect with people of all ages within the congregation and from the broader community.
Professor Marc B. Shapiro
Marc B. Shapiro holds the Weinberg Chair in Judaic Studies at the University of Scranton. A graduate of Brandeis (BA) and Harvard (PhD), he is the author of numerous books, articles, and reviews, and is a popular scholar in residence at synagogues around the world. His most recent book, Renewing the Old, Sanctifying the New: The Unique Vision of Rav Kook, has just appeared. Among his other books are Between the Yeshiva World and Modern Orthodoxy, Saul Lieberman and the Orthodox, and Changing the Immutable: How Orthodox Judaism Rewrites Its History. In 2019 he published a Hebrew volume, Iggerot Malkhei Rabbanan, which contains more than thirty years of correspondence with some of the world's most outstanding Torah scholars. Dr. Shapiro also teaches a weekly online class, for hundreds of listeners, on great rabbinic figures.
Dr. Joseph Shatzkes
Joseph Shatzkes is a Board-Certified Physician in Cardiovascular Diseases, Internal Medicine, Echocardiography, and Nuclear Cardiology. He is a member of Englewood Cardiology Consultants in New Jersey and is an attending physician at Englewood Hospital and Medical Center. His interests include preventative and consultative cardiology and medicine, critical care cardiology, and medical ethics.

After graduating summa cum laude from the prestigious Brooklyn College BAMD program, he completed medical school at Downstate University Medical Center. There, as well, he graduated summa cum laude and was honored as president of the exclusive Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society, and was nominated by his peers as an inaugural member of the Gold Humanism Honor Society. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Columbia University Medical Center where he was recognized with an award for Excellence in Clinical Medicine. He subsequently completed his cardiovascular fellowship training at Montefiore Medical Center and the Albert Einstein College of Medicine.

Joey resides in Teaneck, NJ, with his wife Shira and their six children.
Dr. Edward Shapiro
Edward Shapiro grew up in Washington, D. C. and graduated from Georgetown University. He attended graduate school at the University of North Carolina and Harvard University and received his Ph.D. from Harvard. He taught at the University of Maryland, St. John's University (Minnesota), and Seton Hall University. He has lectured on American and American Jewish history throughout the United States and in Israel and Europe. He is the author of over two hundred essay and reviews in American and American Jewish history, and has written several books, including "Crown Heights: Blacks, Jews, and the 1991 Brooklyn Riot" and "A Time for Healing: American Jewry Since World War II." He has received research grants from the American Philosophical Society, the Lucius Littauer Foundation, and other organizations and has been as fellow of the Oxford Center for Jewish Studies in England.
Dr. Jordana Topp
Dr. Jordana Topp is the Rebbetzin of Beth Jacob Congregation in Beverly Hills, where she and her husband, Rabbi Kalman Topp, have served since 2009. Jordana is a mobile dentist, treating patients with limited access to care. She is the Los Angeles Community Yoetzet Halacha and is a graduate of Stern College, Rutgers Dental School, and Nishmat’s Yoetzet Halacha Program.
Stephen Glicksman, Ph.D.
Stephen Glicksman, Ph.D., is a licensed Developmental Psychologist and Director of Innovation at Makor Care and Services Network in New York. He teaches at Yeshiva College and the Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology of Yeshiva University and is founder and director of the Makor College Experience Program, a partnership program of Makor and Yeshiva University providing the YU Experience to young men with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities. In addition to his Makor and YU related activities, Dr. Glicksman serves as the Consultant Psychologist for the School for Children with Hidden Intelligence (SCHI) in Lakewood, New Jersey and has a private practice in Teaneck, New Jersey. Dr. Glicksman is a sought-after speaker who has presented on a variety of developmental topics at numerous professional conferences, schools, parent groups, synagogues, and other venues, and his research and writings have been published in both national and international scientific journals as well as a variety of magazines and periodicals.
